    Comprehensive Feasibility Study: covered all the technical, financial and commercial aspects of the project to setup the facility owner for a successfully bidders’ evaluation. Included in the study a detailed supplier weighted rating matrix.




Scope of Services:


  • Comprehensive Feasibility Study: technical, financial and commercial
  • Vendor evaluation and rating system
  • Drawings and specifications for permitting, CIA & SIA
  • Final recommendations for bid RFQ: design, sizing, interconnection
  • BESS Specification:


  • Review facility’s current and forecasted demand: 15 min billing interval & Instantaneous (second-by second) load swing data.
  • Review Ontario Power market conditions and forecasts specifically relating to the planned BESS and the forecasted NPV of the project
  • Review facility’s current Power Distribution System
  • Propose & Present optimal BESS system interconnection (multiple interconnections / configurations were considered), taking into account delivered cost and scalability.
  • Prepare Project Dwg’s (Physical and Electrical) & Documentation outlining potential BESS interconnection points
  • Outline protection and control requirements (Reverse Power, Anti Islanding, BF, Over-and- Under Frequency Protection, Over-and- Under Voltage Protection, Vector Surge, ROCOF, Directional Reactive Power, Phase Fault, Ground Fault, Transfer Trip, DGEO, LSBS, as well as Telemetry and Gross Load Billing)
  • Prepare grid connection pre-assessment documentation and obtain approvals LDC
  • Review Inverter and Battery shelter specs, commissioning and maintenance requirements
  • Prepare Project Timelines
  • Comprehensive Evaluation of Technical, Financial, & Commercial proposals as submitted by developers. Arrange and conduct meetings with various stakeholders: Customer, Developers, LDC.
